The US Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe makes it crystal clear why we need legislators in Augusta who will protect safe, legal abortion. Anne is pro choice and pro-women's equality (her opponent is not).

Top Issues

Affordable Housing
I have over three decades of work on issues relating to first-time homebuyers, homelessness, and affordable housing. We need to increase the supply of affordable housing to support families, seniors, and businesses!
Pro Choice
I think women need to control the decisions they make about their bodies, their health, and their lives.
Fund Public Schools
People sometimes tell me "public education is expensive." What's more expensive is NOT providing a free, quality education to everyone. The students of today are the earners of tomorrow who will support Medicare and Social Security, vote, and run our businesses and government agencies. We need them to be as well-educated as possible!
Affordable Healthcare
I'm not a health care policy expert, but I'm supportive of efforts to expand access to healthcare, and am open to different policies that move us in that direction.
Union Yes
We can see the effect of concentrating wealth within the top 1 percent. Workers' wages have been driven down, employers manage to a part-time workforce so they don't have to provide benefits. When employers treat human employees like widgets unions can be an important way Sto win better pay and benefits.
Universal Background Checks
I'm not a gun policy expert, but it seems abundantly clear that more guns, and an expansion of the culture of gun violence, has not made us safer. I support sensible forms of gun control. I also think we need to fund research to determine effective ways of curbing gun violence, something the NRA has fought for years. When gun owners insist on their right to play with military-style, high-capacity weapons, I think of the parents I’ve met while canvassing who are scared to send their kids to school, of the parents whose lives will be forever scarred by the loss or injury of their children to gun violence, and to the children who will never experience their high school graduation, fall in love, have a family because they were killed in gun violence.
