The Re-Inventor of Reno

About the candidate

Hillary brings to the her city entrepreneurial experience as an employer and local business owner, as well as her out-of-the-box thinking which helped her businesses prosper during the economic downturn. Hillary is the owner and operator of three businesses in the City of Reno. She wants to use her business knowledge to help eliminate bureaucratic red tape and spur job creation. Hillary’s other key issues are economic growth, public safety, regional cooperation and senior services. One of her major issues is the reformation and revitalization of downtown. Hillary has made it a priority since assuming office to put funding toward creating a downtown environment that attracts residents, students, businesses, and visitors.

Affordable Housing
People need affordable places to live. Hard working families should be able to afford to buy a home, and people in all walks of life need to be able to afford to rent a clean and safe place to live.
Small Businesses First
We need to continue and strengthen our support of small businesses.
Community Policing
My vision for community safety includes more mental health services, more intervention services, more de-escalation training, more general community services. This community-based mindset–paired with focused crime solving aimed at major bad actors–leads to better community services and offerings and a more vibrant, safer place to live, work and play.
