Housing As one of the leading Native Hawaiian voices in the Hawaiʻi State Legislature, Representative Kila understands the responsibility to advocate for the lāhui at every level — from protecting ʻike Hawaiʻi to reducing the DHHL waitlist and getting more families into homes. Economy At its core, this work is about improving quality of life — making sure our communities are safe, our keiki have opportunities, and our neighborhoods have the resources they need to thrive. From investing in schools and community spaces to strengthening public safety and access to services. Infrastructure / Transportation For many West Oʻahu families, getting to work, school, or home safely isn’t always guaranteed. Darius is committed to improving traffic safety through smarter infrastructure investments, better planning, and continued advocacy for resources that keep our roads safe and accessible for everyone. Economy The rising cost of living continues to put pressure on local families. Darius will continue working to support policies that make Hawaiʻi more affordable — focusing on housing, economic opportunity, and ensuring that working families have a fair shot at building a future here at home.
