My name is Greg Hattaway, and I am running for the position of Sheriff in Pulaski County as an Independent candidate. With over 32 years of experience in law enforcement, including local, state, and federal roles, I am confident in my ability to serve and protect the community. Throughout my career, I have served as a patrolman, sergeant, narcotics and criminal investigator, chief in another city, DoD Police liaison for WRAFB, and a police academy instructor. Additionally, I have proudly served in the armed services for 16 years, with deployments to Kuwait, Cairo Egypt, Iraq, and Afghanistan. As a private contract instructor, I have been able to utilize my expertise in worldwide protective services and foreign affairs counter threat to train others in the public sector. In my personal life, I enjoy hunting, fishing, and riding my motorcycle with my grandkids. What sets me apart is my genuine care for the unknown, and my commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of all individuals in Pulaski County. Why I'm Running
I am running for the office of Sheriff in Pulaski County as a member of the Independent party because I believe in the importance of effective and compassionate law enforcement. With over 32 years of experience in law enforcement, including local, state, and federal positions, I have gained the necessary skills and knowledge to lead as Sheriff. Throughout my career, I have served in various capacities such as patrolman, sergeant, narcotics and criminal investigator, chief in another city, DoD Police liaison, and police academy instructor. I am also a 16-year veteran of the Armed Services, having served in the Ga Army National Guard in roles such as communications specialist, military police, and military intelligence. I have mobilized and deployed in operations such as Desert Storm, Operation Bright Star, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation Enduring Freedom. My dedication to public safety extends beyond my professional life, as I enjoy hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles with my grandchildren. As Sheriff, I will bring a breadth of experience, a commitment to community engagement, and a genuine concern for the well-being of our citizens.

I’ve mobilized and deployed in the Guard for Desert Storm, Operation Bright Star, Operation Iraqi Freedom as well as Operation Enduring Freedom.
