And the budget should prioritize technology and competitive pay for first responders and the frontline workers who keep our neighborhoods safe. Economy As a small business owner, Janet knows what businesses need to succeed and grow. From reducing regulation to keeping taxes low, Janet will champion legislation that will make Arizona’s economy the most competitive in the country. Readily available infrastructure, office space, reliable energy, and an educated workforce will take Arizona well into the 21st century. Education Arizona has one of the most robust school choice programs in the country. Parents know which education option is best for their kids. It is critical to continue investing in our educational options, from public district schools to charters. When children receive the education that fits them best, they grow into adults who contribute to a stronger Arizona. Education is not one-size-fits-all formula —it’s about building the future workforce, supporting innovation, and creating opportunity for every family without determining outcomes based on zip code or upbringing. Immigration Arizona families should never have to live in fear of violent crime, cartels, or human trafficking across the border. Strong communities go hand in hand with strong law enforcement and investment in the officers and technology to keep our neighborhoods safe. Janet knows firsthand what border realities look like. She spent a year traveling across the Nogales border to help families and orphans in need. She saw illegal border crossings and the impact of the drugs and guns that came through the porous border. Law enforcement and the border agents work tirelessly to keep Arizona safe, and it is critical they have the resources they need to do their jobs. By focusing resources on education, prevention, and strengthening neighborhoods, Arizona can build safer communities, reduce long-term costs, and create opportunities for every generation. Janet has dedicated her time to helping kids in foster care and is committed to ensuring DCS is equipped to serve the children in state care. Protecting children isn’t just the job of one agency—it’s the responsibility of everyone and impacts the future of our state.
