Housing Lydia will fight for rent relief programs, living wage legislation, affordable childcare, and policies that put money back in the pockets of working families—not corporations. Abortion / Contraception Lydia will be a strong Democratic voice in the state legislature, fighting against MAGA-inspired policies that threaten voting rights, reproductive freedom, immigrant families, and working people across Arizona. Immigration Lydia will push back against anti-immigrant legislation, fight for protections for Arizona's immigrant communities, and oppose any state-level policies that separate families or criminalize people seeking a better life. Education Lydia will champion fully funded public schools, equitable resources for schools in Maryvale, bilingual education programs, and opposition to voucher schemes that drain funding from public schools. Healthcare Lydia will fight to protect and expand Medicaid, lower prescription drug costs, increase access to mental health services, and ensure that every family in Maryvale can afford to stay healthy.
