Criminal Justice / Public Safety Our communities do not feel safe, and that’s unacceptable. We must fully fund our law enforcement and ensure that our laws are enforced—there must be consequences for lawlessness. Taxes / Budget I am the “No Gas Tax Candidate”, if I were in Salem versus Mark Meek, you would not see your cost of living going up so much. We are the 4th highest taxed state, and the burden is driving a mass exodus of families and businesses. We must become frugal, stick to a tight budget, and stop rushing to bloated tax bills as a quick fix. Education Our children’s education has been hindered severely. We still have extreme policies that no longer require a mastery of skills for graduation, leaving our students unprepared for college or the workforce. We need to bring accountability back to our schools. Housing The “Housing First” approach hasn’t delivered. The process has been impossible due to red tape and complex permitting, leading to failure. We need practical, workable solutions that deliver results, not more complexity.
