Being a legislator shouldn't all about new spending and regulations— it should be about solving problems with the most effective solutions and with the least negative impact. Throughout his career, the one trait that has defined Mikel has been his ability to create more efficient and constructive means of solving problems. From managing his own small business to helping staple Alaskan institutions and some of the largest brands in the world—Mikel has helped transform and lead various teams of scale, and wants to apply those same principles to help elevate Southwest Anchorage.
