Patrick McAtee-MacRae was born in Merced, California. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1975 to 2006. Receiving over 50 unit and personal awards. Retiring as a CWO5, one of an original group of just 17.
Mr. McAtee-MacRae earned a bachelor's degree from Chapman University in 1996 and a graduate degree from East Carolina University in 2008. His career experience includes working as a quality assurance manager for a defense contractor, configuration manager, information systems security manager/officer, teacher, and trainer.
Mr. McAtee-MacRae has been affiliated with the American Legion, Disabled American Veterans (DAV), the Scottish American Military Society (SAMS), St. Andrew's Society of Sacramento, the Clan MacRae Society of North America, Clan Donnachaidh, the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland, and Lions Clubs International.
For his service to civic organizations, in November of 2021, he received the Presidential Life Time Achievement Award.
He is married to the former Karen Lynn Summitt, they have five children and six grandchildren.
