My name is Ramsey Catron, and I am running for County Commissioner in the 9th as a member of the Independent party. As a Real Estate Appraiser, I have a deep understanding of the needs and concerns of our community. In my free time, I enjoy spending time in the woods during the fall and on the New River in the summer. I'm no different from anyone else in this county; I graduated from George Wythe High School in 2015 and went on to earn a degree in Business Administration from Radford University. With over a year of experience as a real estate appraiser and previous positions in finance and management, I believe that the Commissioners office could benefit from a more efficient and community-friendly approach. If elected, I will prioritize serving the citizens of Wythe County and ensuring fair taxation for all. I am passionate about enhancing digital infrastructure and connectivity, enforcing strong conflict of interest rules, and advocating for fair compensation and due process in property-related matters. Together, we can create a better future for our county.
Why I'm Running
I am running for the office of County Commissioner as a member of the Independent party because I believe that the Commissioners office can be run in a more efficient and community-friendly way. With my experience as a real estate appraiser, as well as my background in finance and management, I have the skills necessary to prioritize serving the citizens of Wythe County while ensuring fair taxation for all. I am passionate about enhancing digital infrastructure and connectivity, as I believe that we need to catch up with the technology age and make information easily accessible to the public. I also strongly believe in enforcing strong conflict of interest rules and government ethics measures to ensure fair treatment for everyone regardless of their background. Furthermore, advocating for fair treatment and due process in property-related matters is of utmost importance, as property rights are essential to homeowners and landowners. I am dedicated to ensuring accurate assessments, supporting our community, and promoting land use that serves both individuals and the broader community. As a member of the Independent party, I am committed to representing the interests of all constituents and working towards a more efficient and equitable county government.
