Promoting inclusivity and diverse representation in decision-making processes

In the ambassador role, I hope to make more residents aware of the issues that Rolesville is facing and provide transparency on how those issues are being handled. Rolesville's rapid growth has understandably meant many newcomers don't feel a part of the town yet, and has meant many of the long-time residents feel overwhelmed.

Cultural events and community events

Rolesville's proximity and ease of access to Raleigh allows residents to enjoy it's diverse offerings, but we do little to attract Raleigh to Rolesville. I'd like to shift our "Role" in the region and find opportunities to reverse that traffic. We are in a great position to offer a slightly slower pace for Raleighites, where event hosts and goers can focus on quality interactions and know that there niche groups are being welcomed and appreciated. Our heavy residential population is largely neighborhood oriented and we need someone who can help connect and unify them to make sure we don't loose our small-town charm in the process. We need to invite these new residents to become a part of growing Rolesville, not just living in it.

Supporting entrepreneurship and small businesses

Rolesville is reaching a nearly 9 to 1 ratio of residential to commercial property. The population here now, and slotted to come here very soon, can support several businesses, but I fear our lack of current commercial property will be too big of a hurdle for entrepreneurs and small businesses to launch. There is huge opportunity right now for businesses to supply our residents with goods and services. We need to attract developers who can create spaces geared toward small businesses, and attract successful surrounding local businesses to replicate their success here.

I have been a dedicated teacher in public education for ten years, investing my time and energy in bettering the school and community. As a former small business owner and with my collegiate studies in economics, I bring a unique mix of skills and perspective that will benefit Rolesville as its next Mayor. I am passionate about promoting inclusivity and diverse representation in decision-making processes, and ensuring accessibility and inclusivity in public meetings. I also recognize the need to connect and unify our residents, both long-time and newcomers, and maintain our small-town charm as our town experiences rapid growth. I am committed to supporting entrepreneurship and small businesses by attracting developers to create spaces for them, and bringing successful local businesses into our community. Let's work together to make Rolesville an inclusive, thriving, and connected town that we can all be proud of.

Why I'm Running

I am running for Mayor of Rolesville because I am deeply committed to the betterment of our community. With my ten years of experience as a teacher, small business experience, and my collegiate studies in economics, I possess a unique skill set that will allow me to serve as an effective leader. I am passionate about promoting inclusivity and diverse representation in decision-making processes, as well as ensuring accessibility and inclusivity in public meetings. I believe that by serving as an ambassador, I can increase awareness of the issues facing Rolesville and provide transparency on how these issues are being addressed. Additionally, I am dedicated to preserving the small-town charm of Rolesville while also attracting commercial investment to support our growing population. By supporting entrepreneurship and small businesses, we can enhance economic development and create opportunities for both residents and entrepreneurs. Overall, I hope to unite our community, interact with all our residents, and create a thriving and inclusive environment for all.

Past Experience

I've been working in public education for ten years, investing my time and energy in bettering the school and the community it serves. I believe the opportunity to become the next Mayor of Rolesville will allow me to continue to serve my community in a greater context. My experiences in the school as a teacher, collaborator, and leader, along with my experiences as a former small business owner and my collegiate studies in economics, gives me the right mix of skills and perspective. As our town transitions from rapid residential growth to one that's targeting commercial investment, a different representative is needed.

Fun Fact

Since one of our dogs passed away in 2021 we've been fostering beagles through the Triangle Beagle Rescue Foundation. So far we've helped 10 dogs find their forever families. It's been amazing to watch our daughter opens her heart up and grows with each furball we've brought in.
