Why I'm Running
My name is Tom Simes and I am running for the office of State House of Representatives in District 2 as an independent.
I have always been an independent thinker, and I believe that our government should reflect the needs and desires of the people. As a small business owner and former software engineer, I have a unique perspective on the challenges facing our community.
Fun Fact: I used to be a professional musician and stand-up comedian, so I know how to bring people together and make them laugh.
I am deeply committed to investing in infrastructure and creating jobs. Our roads and bridges are in need of repair, and by revitalizing our infrastructure, we can attract new businesses and create opportunities for our community.
Another top priority for me is ensuring affordable and accessible healthcare for all. No one should have to choose between putting food on the table and paying for medical treatment. I will fight for comprehensive healthcare reform that meets the needs of our community.
Lastly, I am passionate about promoting workforce development programs. Our economy is changing rapidly, and it is crucial that our workforce is prepared for the jobs of the future. By investing in education and training opportunities, we can empower individuals and strengthen our community.
I hope to earn your vote and have the opportunity to represent you in the State House of Representatives.
