About the candidate

Commercial fisherman and lifelong Alaskan Louie Flora is running to represent the citizens of the lower Kenai Peninsula. Having previous experience working for former Representative Paul Seton, he has gained an expertise for serving his community and plans to build on that connection. Through growing up in Alaska, he has realized the value of hard work, family, tradition, and a willingness to lend a hand to one another and sees these as values that need to be restored within politics.

Abortion Is Healthcare
We don’t need big government in the doctor’s office with us as we make private medical decisions with our doctors.
Support Renewables
The future belongs to renewable forms of energy.
Public Campaign Financing
I support reasonable campaign contribution limits as I don’t want to see the wealthy (both in and out of state) to have undue influence over our candidates, and elected officials.
Support Teachers
I believe that public education serves a critical role in society. We need predictable funding to recruit and retain good teachers.
