Past Experience

I believe in a Helena that works together for a more livable, vibrant, and prosperous community. Together, we can build a stronger Helena and move our community forward.

My Top Issues

Properly fund emergency services

Public Safety is a top priority for me. Making sure our police, fire, and emergency services have the funding, the gear, equipment, and training needed.

Supporting entrepreneurship and small businesses

I have a background in economic development, our small businesses are the foundation of our economy. In order to attract more business to a community, it will depend on how well you treat the existing businesses. I support a Small Business Ombudsman position within the city to help be the liaison with businesses in the community.

Affordable Housing

My BUILD Helena Plan focuses on the following, Building density, Uncomplicated zoning, Infrastructure investment, Local engagement, and Diversity in funding, as well as Planning and permit streamlining.

Infrastructure / Transportation

Roads, sidewalks, and sewers, we must continue to invest, maintain, and secure our infrastructure and sustainability.

Housing

Addressing our housing shortage will help attract and retain famlies and essential workers like teachers and childcare providers in our area.

Criminal Justice / Public Safety

I am committed to keeping Helena a safe community by investing in our Fire Department, Police Department, 911 dispatch, and the relationship between the SROs and Helena's Public Schools.

Taxes / Budget

I am committed to a balanced approach to government, by living within our means, cutting needless regulations and fees, and investing it back into the community when there is a little extra.

Arts / Culture

By reinvesting Tax Increment Finance (TIF) funds into our historic downtown, revitalizing historic buildings, and restoring the Firetower, I will continually strive to protect, preserve, and celebrate our heritage.

Economy

I am committed to helping businesses start, operate, and grow in Helena.

Environment / Energy

I am committed to protecting access to our public lands and open spaces.
