Retired Police Officer/Realtor

Fun Fact

I love being a mentor to the children and the adults. I give good honest advice. I love the outdoors and spend a lot of time outside.

Past Experience

I was a police officer for 26 years in Bedford, Ohio. During my time with the Bedford Police Dept. I served as a patrol officer, detective, juvenile officer, shift sergeant, and I was a SWAT operator for 16 yrs. Prior to my retirement from law enforcement, I received my real estate license (2016). I currently work with my wife selling real estate. I was also actively involved in youth sports and coached many different sports for 10+ yrs. As a parent and taxpaying resident, I noticed many different issues with our district. Our test scores were dropping, enrollment was down, yet the administrative staff numbers were climbing. The district was deficit spending pretty much every year and they were wasting a lot of money. A change was needed. I believe in transparency and honesty.

My Top Issues

Invest in crime prevention

Safety is very important. Our students and employees need to feel safe for them to properly learn and do their jobs.

Invest in local public education

We need good public education that is teaching students how to succeed in life after high school. Teachers need to teach their students how to think, not how to think like them.

Enhancing transparency and accountability

Schools are funded by the taxpayers so it is very important to be transparent and responsible when spending the taxpayer's dollars. Waste and abusive spending is unacceptable.

Who I'm Running Against

Beth (Independent)

Has been on the board too long. She acts like she is transparent and accountable with the budget but she approved all of the previous deficit spending. She has fought to protect those who have done wrong .

Ben (Independent)

Ben is running because others put him up to it to try to push me out of office.

Jennifer (Independent)

Jennifer currently serves on the board with me. She is a good person and makes good decisions. Jennifer and I are hoping to get elected to two of the three seats that are up for election.
