I am a pediatric nurse practitioner.
Past Experience
I have three years experience on the East Palestine School Board. I am very passionate about the well being of children in our community and the success of our schools. I spent nearly ten years of my professional career as a Certified School Nurse.
When my husband and I were deciding where to settle to raise our family, we purposely chose East Palestine. The community has a hometown feel that is hard to find in my communities. I have three children, two who are students at East Palestine Elementary. We are very grateful to be a part of the district.
My Top Issues
Invest in local public education
I want to ensure that our schools are appropriately funded and that the money is used wisely to support our students, teachers and community.
Career development training
I want to make sure that our school is a leader in the transition from student to community member. I want to make sure that we provide opportunities for every student to succeed post graduation despite the career path they choose.
Balance development with neighborhood preservation
As our community grows I want to be sure that the school footprint balances preserving our beautiful neighborhoods and ensuring superb facilities.
