Voter Issues

Top Issues

Issue 1 - Environment / Energy
I believe in and support a Green New Deal
Issue 2 - Housing
Housing is a human right. To have millions of Ohioans on the edge of homelessness is a crisis! We do not have the shelters or resources to be prepared to address that magnitude of need. This crisis is nationwide and more politicians should be talking about it and acting fast to pull our people to safety.
Issue 3 - Criminal Justice / Public Safety
Legal protection for women who are victims of abuse and domestic violence, even when there is no police report. It is too common an occurrence of injustice that the law is twisted to hand children over to violent, abusive or substance abusive partners when a woman speaks up, testifies and asks for protection.
Issue 4 - Civil Rights
I will fight for equality and inclusion for ALL in affordable healthcare, housing, job access, job pay, justice access, legal counsel access and protection from violent words and actions. These are human rights and support a basic level of respect and quality of life. It is dehumanizing and inhumane to deny these rights from anyone.
Issue 5 - Education
I would like to try a state-wide free public college education program, as we have seen from research these are very successful in Europe and other countries. This would include all public colleges and vocational schools. All existing student loan debt needs canceled. Educating our citizens is not only to keep up with the world stage, but it yields a much stronger economy and is necessary for national security.
Issue 6 - Education
I will fight for equitable funding for our schools. Children do not choose the families or zip codes they are born into and they should not be punished for being born two streets over.
Issue 7 - Wages / Job Benefits
Equal pay for women for equal work in the labor field.
Issue 8 - Guns
I will fight for bold, tougher gun-safety policy change, and to stop protections for corporate gun manufacturers. This is required for civilian protection. I will take action to end gun violence and mass shootings across the country.
Issue 9 - Social Services
I believe in universal free childcare for all working parents, this would help to raise not only our income but our overall standing nationally, as well as educating and preparing the minds of our young citizens to optimize life long learning.
