Fun Fact
I am all about faith, family, friends, and a whole lot of fun! When I'm not out there serving our community, you'll find me traveling, shopping, hosting a family event, cooking up something delicious, or sharing a laugh with my family and friends. I believe in uplifting others, keeping life joyful, peaceful, and full of heart, and showing compassion. In fact, I am always encouraging the youth and mentoring individuals who need my assistance.
Past Experience
I bring over 20 years of experience as a small business owner and community leader, along with 5 years of nonprofit leadership as the Founder of Sista Girls Sista Bond Corporation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving women, children, and families in need. My work has supported breast cancer survivors, homeless individuals, and mothers who have lost children to violence. I've also managed multiple retail boutiques, organized citywide community service drives, and partnered with local businesses to provide scholarships for high school and college students. We have provided engagement opportunities for students and youth, whether through volunteering or helping with a nonprofit event. Through these experiences, I've learned how to listen, lead, and create real solutions that uphold the values that matter to the entire community. I'll carry with me as your next City Councilwoman.
My Top Issues
Invest in local public education
Every child in Romulus deserves access to quality education, safe schools, and strong support system that prepare them for success. I believe in investing in after-school programs, early childhood education, and community partnerships that will give our students the tools, mentorship, and encouragement they need to thrive.
Invest in local businesses
As a longtime small business owner, I understand the challenges entrepreneurs face every day. I'm committed to growth by expanding business development grants and opportunities, encouraging residents to shop local, and supporting policies that make it easier to start and sustain businesses right here in Romulus. When our small businesses thrive, our entire community grows stronger.
Grocery Store
Every Family in Romulus deserves access to fresh, healthy, and affordable food right here in our city. I am committed to attracting a full-service grocery store that creates local jobs, supports small businesses, and supports regional and small farmers. Having a grocery store can strengthen our community and make it convenient for seniors who do not have to travel to another city or leave Romulus to purchase groceries.
