Criminal Justice / Public Safety I believe that community policing, where neighbors know and trust their officers, combined with data and technology, needs to play a leading role in how we craft our future. If re-elected as mayor, I will continue to provide transparency on current safety trends happening in our city, the training and abilities of our public safety employees and potential challenges that may exist. Education I believe Henderson should have its own school district, with the autonomy to make the decisions that suit us best. It’s time to modernize and not wait for more generations of kids to funnel through a system we all know needs changing. Education I enthusiastically support the Community Education Advisory Board (CEAB) along with the marijuana and Redevelopment funds that provide millions of dollars in grants to Henderson public schools. Economy We must continue attracting businesses that maximize our land use while creating high-quality job opportunities for our residents. A diverse employment base and resilient economy will help safeguard our city against economic downturns. Education We recognize that school choice should be a right that every family enjoys. All parents should be trusted by their government to decide what the best educational setting and curriculum is for their children and what will create the best opportunities for their success.
