My Top Issues

Education

The Thompson School District must look outward, embracing partnerships with local businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations that can enrich the educational experience for students and support educators.

Wages / Job Benefits

Our teachers are the foundation of student success, and we must continue to support and retain them. That starts with ensuring salaries and benefits are competitive with nearby districts. To attract and keep exceptional educators, we need to invest in fair compensation, professional development, and a positive working environment where teachers feel valued and supported.

Taxes / Budget

To help every student thrive, the Thompson School District needs sustainable funding to invest in educators, facilities, and programs that support a well-rounded education.

Education

We must invest in modern classroom technology, maintain high-quality facilities, and expand access to programs that meet the needs and interests of all learners, whether that's college preparation, career and technical education (CTE), the arts, advanced coursework, special education, or language support services. From STEM and music to welding, robotics, and dual enrollment, students should graduate from Thompson not only with a diploma, but with real options for their future, and the confidence to pursue them.

Education

Every student in the Thompson School District deserves to feel welcomed, supported, and equipped to succeed, regardless of their background or path. That means creating inclusive learning environments and ensuring all students have access to the tools and opportunities they need to thrive.

Taxes / Budget

If we ask residents to invest in our schools, we have a duty to continue to be responsible stewards of their trust and their tax dollars. That means maintaining full financial transparency, sharing the findings from the District’s annual financial audit, and following through on recommendations for improvement.
