My Top Issues
Offering alternative methods for public input and participation
With such a diverse community, we need residents to be able to communicate with the city no matter what language they speak or what disabilities they may have. The city has to also provide information in a variety of modes.
Strengthening ethics regulations and policies
The last four years have shown us that we not only need a whole new charter, we need an ethics ordinance. Every action taken by the city should be free of fear that corruption was involved.
Participatory budgeting
Our budget process is a mess. We need to clean it up, make it clear what we're actually planning on doing in the new year, and most importantly we need to include our residents.
Who I'm Running Against
Nancy Bryer (Other)
Nancy is a great person, but she's getting older and deserves to rest and watch us take Dearborn Heights to the next level. Her wisdom can still be shared with the city, but we need council members who will actually read their emails.
