As a parent of three children in our district — each with their own strengths, challenges, and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) — I’ve spent years working alongside teachers, administrators, and support staff to help my kids succeed. That journey has taught me a great deal about how our schools work, where they shine, and where they need to grow. I'm running for school board because I believe that every child deserves a strong, supportive, and inclusive education — one that prepares them not just to pass tests, but to thrive in whatever path they choose next. Whether your child is college-bound, career-focused, needs extra support, or is still figuring it all out — our schools should be equipped to meet them where they are and help them move forward. That takes more than good intentions. It takes informed, involved leadership that understands the system from a parent’s perspective. I want to be a voice for all families — to advocate for high-quality instruction, transparent communication, and policies that prioritize student well-being and real-world readiness. We all want the same thing: for our children to feel seen, supported, and set up for success. That’s the kind of school system I want to help build — and that’s why I’m running.
