Frequently Asked Questions
Who can use GoodParty.org?
GoodParty.org is built for independent, people-powered candidates, and the people helping them run for office.
We’re not a political party. We’re a political tech company helping honest candidates run without selling out to the two-party system or big-money donors. But not everyone qualifies to use our tools, and that’s intentional.
You’re eligible if:
- You’re running as an independent in a partisan election
- You’re running in a nonpartisan local race (like city council, school board, mayor, etc.)
- You’re affiliated with a non-major party (like the Green Party or Libertarian Party, as long as you're committed to GoodParty.org’s pledge)
- You’re a campaign manager or staffer working on behalf of a qualifying candidate who meets all other conditions
- You’re still exploring a run for office, and want to learn more before filing
Note: You can be a Republican or Democratic voter – but you may not appear on the ballot as a Democratic or Republican candidate.
You’re not eligible if:
- You’re actively running as a Democrat or Republican in a partisan race
- You plan to accept support (endorsements, funds, or resources) from major-party structures (DNC, RNC, etc.)
- You don’t agree with the core values outlined in the GoodParty.org Pledge
