Steven Hula is an incumbent town council member in Warren, New York. He is running for reelection on November 5, 2024. Currently unopposed for the position, Hula is a GoodParty.org Certified candidate and a member of the Conservative Party of New York State.

Hula shared some of his experience and hopes for the town of Warren with GoodParty.org. In his next term in office, he hopes to continue serving the people of Warren with integrity.

Hula grew up on a dairy farm, has worked in various construction jobs, and has 30 years of law enforcement experience.

“My priorities are serving people in the town of Warren and enforcing their rights,” Hula said.

Warren is a small town in southern Herkimer County, New York. As of an estimate from the 2019 census, Warren had a population of 1,087 people. Neighboring communities include Columbia, German Flats, Richfield Springs, Springfield, and Stark.

Part of what makes Warren a special place is its rich history. In 1796, the town of Warren was formed from neighboring German Flats. Prior to that, the area played a role in the Revolutionary War and was the site of the massacre of Andrustown in 1778.

Today, Warren is known for its natural scenery, including Weaver Lake. The local government is made up of a town supervisor, four town council members, and a town attorney.

Hula said he decided to run for local office as a third-party candidate because he has always identified as a Conservative and wanted to pursue a new path.

The Conservative Party of New York State is a political party that was founded in 1962, with the goal of offering voters another choice beyond those of the Republican Party, Democratic Party, and Liberal Party of New York. As of February 2024, the Conservative Party had 823 members in Herkimer County and a total of 164,826 members across the state. The party currently holds the third-place position on ballots in New York elections, known as Row C.

Hula said his top priority as a town board member is to serve his community.

“I will do everything in my power to help and serve the people in the town of Warren,” Hula said.

Local voters can prepare for the upcoming elections on November 5, 2024 by registering to vote and making a plan to cast their votes on election day.
