I have been a business owner for several years, but had a lot of my momentum destroyed during COVID and the shutdowns that followed. This has taught me that self reliance is a very important value, even on a City level. Education has recently become very important to me after adopting our son. Winfield Public Schools has had an issue providing accomodations for his needs and i look forward to improving special education integration. Of course a major issue in all rural Kansas towns is taxes. As we see our population decline the tax burden gets spread more and more into each of our pocketbooks. I would like to explore options to increase general tax revenue from appropriate sources such as grants, while maximizing cuts through minimizing over reach and re-evaluating our current revenue-neutral property tax system. In General my outlook has become a "best idea wins" type of approach and I look forward to working with current City Leaders to put Winfield back on the map as the "Cool" Community we are reported to be by Bluegrassers, Artists, Musicians, and Tourists. We have an amazing Legacy that I want to see carried into the future with confidence and not be stagnate with antiquated ideas that no longer work within the current Social Dynamics. The only way to change this is to become the change. The New Outlook starts with you N.O.W. and all it takes to make your Voice heard is Registering to Vote. Forming an Opinion, and Voting on it. Even if I dont earn your Vote in Nov I believe that without your Vote we put our Communities Future in the hands of others. Do not shirk this responsibility and privilege to create the place you want to live

Many strides have been made in the last decade that I dont see being implemented in USD 465. Continuing Education and appropriate Compensation for such Education is crucial to our kids development and will eventually even impact local crime rates
