That means better lighting, safe streets, stronger emergency planning, and supporting youth programs that keep kids on the right path. Infrastructure / Transportation Partnering with the Community: Working with local schools, service clubs, nonprofits, and businesses to adopt public areas to maintain, and stretch every dollar. Infrastructure / Transportation Getting Creative with Limited Budget: Identifying grants, public-private partnerships, and volunteer driven efforts. Economy I am committed to working with the Sparks mayor and city council members to champion economic development that attracts diverse industries and supports local businesses – creating good jobs, expanding opportunity, and strengthening Sparks’ long-term economy. Economy I support a strategic approach to growth; smart growth and policies prioritizing housing near jobs and transit, along with convenient and accessible transportation corridors. This can only occur with creative solutions that involve relationships and partnerships. I’ll fight to make sure this growth is community-led, infrastructure-ready, and benefits our citizens first.
