My Top Issues

Wages / Job Benefits

Providing teachers and staff with the resources and support they need to help their students excel in the classroom.

Taxes / Budget

I am a strong supporter of the currently proposed no tax increase bond measure which will be on the ballot this November. This bond will provide the district with 99 million of much needed funds to help address some of our most critical needs.

Wages / Job Benefits

Ensuring professional development is provided in a way that is meaningful and useful to all staff and teachers. Professional development should be beneficial and applicable, not just activities to check off a box.

Education

I have and will continue to advocate for policies that allow for open dialogue, support of all students and staff within the district, and appreciation for the uniqueness inside all of us.

Taxes / Budget

I have been committed to working to maximize our resources as much as possible and will continue pushing for novel funding mechanisms to help meet our district’s many needs.

Wages / Job Benefits

Working to increase staff salaries whenever and however we can within the tight budgetary constraints we face.

Education

The district is in the process of having a full ADA audit done to determine the extent of our accessibility problems. I am sure the results of this audit will be daunting, but it is important work to do and I will push to ensure we have a well rounded task force to review the findings and help determine priorities for moving forward with remediation. I will also work to ensure students with special needs, like all students, get the support and services they need to be successful in TSD.
