Occupation

CEO & Founder

Fun Fact

All four of our children are in their 20s and out of the house, so now we have two doodle dogs! Gunnar is a goldendoodle, and Ella, the Sheepadoodle, are really fun and full of energy! You can follow them on Instagram at TheBusyDogs! They love to play in the yard when I'm gardening!

Past Experience

I am the CEO & Founder, Leadership Evolution Group. A human capital management consulting firm focused on creating exceptional workplaces and leaders for associations, non-profits, companies, state, and federal government agencies. I am also an Adjunct Professor in the Costello College of Business at George Mason University, teaching a class on Teams and Interpersonal Skills. My professional background as a CEO focused on organizational transformation and management consulting, paired with my academic background, blended with the fact that I've lived in Sterling Park for more than 16 years and raised four public school-educated kids, makes me the best candidate for this position. Finally, I show up and do the work. For the last three years, I have been at every single school board meeting, tracking issues and learning how the Board and administration operate. I was the Policy Aide for the Independent Leesburg School Board member and saw firsthand how politics is being weaponized by some members of the Board. I want to change that and bring a non-partisan approach to our school division.

My Top Issues

Education

Parents' Rights.

Education

Our Loudoun schools must ultimately prepare students for life after high school. Expanding of vocational programs, certificates, and work-based learning in our Sterling schools will create career opportunities immediately after graduation.

Legislation

I believe Title IX should be restored to its original purpose and girls spaces should be protected. We need to respect the inherent difference between girls and boys and restore separate spaces and sports.

Education

Our school board needs to prioritize funding of basic educational needs of all students. If elected, I hope to expand services and resources available to our children in Sterling so they receive the quality education they deserve.

Who I'm Running Against

Arben Istrefi (Democrat Party)

Incumbent on the LCPS School Board. A Democrat political activist who is using the School Board seat as a stepping stone to run for higher office in the future.
