Arts / Culture Mayor Dickens envisions the arts as integral to a thriving and diverse community. His goals include making the arts accessible to everyone, supporting individual artists, ensuring equity in art funding and support, reinvigorating the creative economy post-pandemic, and cultivating the Atlanta arts community for future generations. Criminal Justice / Public Safety His approach combines strategic investments in law enforcement with innovative community-based solutions to make Atlanta a safer city for all. Housing Mayor Dickens has set a goal to build or preserve 20,000 affordable housing units in Atlanta by 2030. Thus far, 11,000 units have been completed or are under construction. Environment / Energy Mayor Dickens has set an ambitious target for Atlanta to achieve 100% clean energy by 2035. Strategies to reach this goal include establishing innovative funding mechanisms, instituting solar purchasing programs for residents, and are advocating for more clean energy production from Georgia Power. Infrastructure / Transportation His administration's initiatives encompass expanding public transit, developing multi-use trails, and investing in innovative transportation solutions.
