Criminal Justice / Public Safety Reducing recidivism is key to long-term public safety. When people leave jail without direction, they often end up back in the system. My plan is to prepare people to leave better than they came in by focusing on job readiness, life skills, and a reentry plan. Criminal Justice / Public Safety Ensuring the security of the jail is a critical public safety priority for our entire county. Having seen 2 escapes in just 3 years, it is evident that a change is required to protect our residents. My leadership will focus exclusively on securing the facility by prioritizing rigorous staff training and effective management. Wages / Job Benefits Our deputies and staff deserve fair, present leadership that understands their daily challenges. I am committed to prioritizing high-quality professional training, ensuring it is never put on the back burner. Taxes / Budget Fiscal responsibility means spending taxpayer money wisely, with purpose, transparency, and accountability. Every dollar spent at the jail should improve safety, operations, staffing, or long-term outcomes for Henderson County. I believe in making smart decisions, avoiding wasteful spending, and ensuring taxpayer money is used where it actually makes a difference.
