Fun Fact

I keep grounded with lots of time spent playing outdoors with my husband and our five rescue dogs. I also teach yoga and make health and wellness a priority through healthy eating and daily exercise.

Past Experience

I have lived in the Huber Ridge neighborhood of Blendon Township since 2008. When I first moved here I knew very little about the community and was just looking for a house I liked that was in the right price range and close to my business. After moving into that little burgundy house on Brazzaville I didn't expect to so quickly fall in love with the neighborhood, the people and the parks but not since I left TN at the age of 25 have I felt so at home anywhere. I have owned my own business in Westerville since 2003 and owned and managed other businesses before, giving me a strong work ethic and ability to quickly pivot from one task to another and make difficult decisions. Being self-employed, while sometimes time-consuming, also greatly affords me the luxury of freedom to focus my time and energy where it is most needed.

My Top Issues

Creating green spaces and urban parks

I seek to further park and recreation initiatives for the betterment of the community and represents all township parks, including Ridgewood Park, Phelps Acre Park, Sunbury Woods Commons, the pocket park located at Harbin Drive and Buenos Aires Blvd. and all other green spaces owned by Blendon Township. . I agree to advocate for the conservation, protection, enhancement and wise use of the township's natural resources and promise to foster the development and application of science-based resource policies and practices and to promote, through education and example, an ethic that recognizes the interdependence of people and the environment.
