Criminal Justice / Public Safety Fully fund public safety programs such as CAHOOTS (Crisis Assistance Helping Out On The Streets) to ensure that members of our community have accessible care in case of a crisis. Housing Support new housing in Eugene, especially low- and middle-income housing. Immigration Enforce our sanctuary state laws and limit cooperation with ICE to protect our immigrant communities. Environment / Energy Reduce pollution in Eugene by reducing industry seats on the toxics board, supporting electrification of new buildings, and working to reduce carbon transport emissions. Infrastructure / Transportation Expand Bus Rapid Transit service to increase accessibility and usability. Infrastructure / Transportation Increase the amount of protected bike lanes and sidewalks so all Eugenians can be safe when travelling. Education Lower childcare costs by supporting state efforts to create Universal Pre-K and facilitate efforts between businesses and providers to create sponsored programs. Taxes / Budget Fund our public services such as our libraries, parks, and recreational facilities. Civil Rights Support efforts to create a more welcoming community for people of color, such as acknowledging racially targeted hate crimes.
