Economy Maintaining and improving Flagstaff as an attractive place for existing businesses to remain and grow is critical. Wages / Job Benefits Residents need access to workforce training and education to obtain, and advance in, high-quality jobs. Environment / Energy The reduction of carbon emissions will improve Flagstaff residents’ quality of life and position us for economic development opportunities in clean energy. Criminal Justice / Public Safety Flagstaff is surrounded by the largest contiguous ponderosa pine forest in the world and containing catastrophic wildland fires requires equipped and highly trained firefighters. Housing The creation of workforce housing is critical. Lack of housing negatively impacts us all. Infrastructure / Transportation We must be proactive with land use planning and investment in multiple modes of transportation (transit, trails, sidewalks, bike facilities, and traffic calming measures).
