Guns As Governor, Ben will oppose any effort to chip away at our constitutional freedoms, and will veto any legislation that targets the rights of law-abiding Mainers. He’ll protect your right to defend yourself and your loved ones. Environment / Energy Ben will lower energy costs and end the subsidies that line the pockets of special interest groups, at the expense of Maine families and small businesses. Education Ben believes schools need to get back to the basics. They should be focused on reading, writing, math and preparing our children for their future careers. Education As Governor, Ben will support efforts to empower parents to ensure they know what’s happening in the classroom. Parents know what’s best for their children, not government. Economy He’ll cut red tape, support small businesses, and attract investment to create more good-paying jobs across Maine. Ben will focus on policies that will revitalize our legacy industries, including farming, fishing and forestry. Immigration Ben will crack down on sanctuary city policies that provide welfare benefits to illegal migrants, end illegal Chinese drug operations, and ensure that Maine people are always prioritized first. Criminal Justice / Public Safety Ben will work with our law enforcement, not against them, to keep our communities safe and secure. Immigration Ben recognizes the importance of securing Maine’s northern border and ensuring Maine taxpayers aren’t footing the bill for illegal immigration.
