Infrastructure / Transportation As mayor, I’ll continue to support partnerships that protect the lake’s future. I’ll work to connect downtown to the waterfront, ensure public access, and encourage new housing and recreation along both Muskegon Lake and Lake Michigan. Housing Bob Garretson will work hard to make sure every Muskegon resident has access to safe, affordable, and accessible housing—because a strong city starts with a stable home. Infrastructure / Transportation Bob Garretson will work to improve public access to our waterfront, enhance our parks, and support the growth of the arts scene because Choosing Muskegon is choosing the beauty that comes with it. Arts / Culture As mayor, I’ll continue to support these efforts and help grow the role that arts, culture, and creativity play in making Muskegon a place we all want to live and work. Infrastructure / Transportation As mayor, I’ll continue to foster partnerships between neighborhoods, local businesses, and the City to ensure that all of our parks are beautiful, safe places for people to gather and enjoy. Economy Bob Garretson will grow Muskegon’s economy by attracting talent, supporting local business, and clearing the path for new investment—making it easier for all to Choose Muskegon. Housing Support & Expand Existing Programs – Continue the city’s Infill Housing program, but make sure it is meeting the needs of actual home buyers. Maximize the use of Brownfield tax incentives for smart redevelopment with more projects like Muskegon Central Park. Housing Ensure Housing for All – Advocate for diverse housing solutions that serve seniors, working families, veterans, and those facing housing insecurity.
