Infrastructure / Transportation As an alderperson, I will make road improvement a priority and fight to not simply fund the improvements through borrowing/debt. Taxes / Budget While I am not opposed to borrowing, particularly when interest rates are low, we must make sure that tax dollars are spent appropriately before borrowing. Taxes / Budget Leveraging my finance background, I will critically review spending and the budget to limit borrowing. Taxes / Budget As an alderperson, I will fight for fiscal discipline to decrease taxes and maximize the tax dollar for necessary services and infrastructure. Criminal Justice / Public Safety I have the utmost respect for the brave men and women that serve the Manitowoc community, putting their life on the line daily. Public safety has to be a priority of every city government. This includes recruiting and retaining the best firefighters, paramedics and police officers. In addition to competitive pay and benefits, the policies and culture need to be attractive for all.
