Criminal Justice / Public Safety I will work to bridge the gap between law enforcement, small businesses, and neighborhood watch groups to identify crime patterns and stop repeat offenders before they strike again. Infrastructure / Transportation I plan to assist in researching and pursuing state grant funding so the city can continue upgrading and maintaining its facilities and buildings. While ADU laws are established at the state level, I will work to ensure we remain mindful of local zoning practices and carefully consider parking and the overall impact on surrounding neighborhoods. Economy Making the City a partner, not an obstacle. This includes streamlining permitting and inspections, improving coordination between departments, and ensuring small businesses have clear points of contact and realistic timelines. A healthy local economy starts with supporting the businesses that serve our neighborhoods and create local jobs. Taxes / Budget I believe in transparency around how these services are funded, so we are not making promises we cannot keep. I will also prioritize protecting hours and staffing for essential community resources such as libraries, tutoring centers, and public spaces that residents rely on. In addition, I will work to streamline permits and city processes to make them more user-friendly and easier for both residents and small businesses to navigate and utilize. Criminal Justice / Public Safety I will advocate for increasing sworn police staffing levels to ensure our officers aren’t stretched too thin, allowing for faster response times when you call for help. Targeted Patrols: I will prioritize visible enforcement and strategic patrols in “hot spot” areas that are experiencing repeated break-ins and property crimes. Taxes / Budget Implementing rigorous checks on major projects to prevent cost overruns and delays. Environment / Energy I will also work with the city to be proactive in pursuing environmental incentives and compliance opportunities related to AQMD regulations, SB 1383 requirements, and energy – efficient infrastructure upgrades. Criminal Justice / Public Safety I will push for clear, accessible reporting so residents and business owners know exactly what actions are being taken and how public safety resources are being deployed in our neighborhoods. Taxes / Budget Pushing for financial reports that every resident can understand, not just city insiders.
