Healthcare Chelsea has long been a leader in mental health advocacy for students and families, working to remove stigma and expand access to care across San Mateo County. She continues to work on Countywide Mental Health Pathways Projects & consistently advocates for early interventions and crisis supports. Taxes / Budget Chelsea believes every public education dollar must be used wisely and transparently. On the County Board, she has lead efforts to strengthen oversight, improve financial accountability, and prioritize alignment between resource allocation and improved student outcomes. Education Every student deserves a high-quality education that prepares them for college, career, and life. True academic excellence means using data-centered practices to meet every student where they are to truly understand their needs and to empower them to reach their full potential. Education Every child deserves the opportunity to become a confident, capable reader, but too many students are reading below grade level. Chelsea has been a champion for science-based literacy instruction, and she has advocated for early screening for dyslexia, teacher training, and classroom-based supports for all students.
