Fun Fact
I have participated in three 50 Mile Marches in Nebraska to raise funds for homeless veterans and veterans who suffer from invisible wounds who need counseling. I am in training for my fourth 50 Mile March in August 2025. The efforts of this 501(c)(3) have resulted in the purchase of 7 acres in Bellevue, NE upon which the foundation will build the first Community of Hope.
Past Experience
I have served my country and my communities for 55 years. I am a retired US Air Force pilot and have served on a school board, Home Owners' Association board, and as an elected trustee for a Sanitation Improvement District in Nebraska. I am an analytical problem solver with a proven ability to manage multimillion dollar budgets and to work with a broad spectrum of people with widely divergent interests. The tenets of my campaign are Harmony, Balance, & Common Sense.
My Top Issues
Enhancing community policing
Public safety is the first priority of any government body. The cornerstone of public safety is the rule of law.
Balance development with neighborhood preservation
Balanced policies weigh the publics' desire to preserve the status quo with the need for a community's growth. Government must function with fiscal responsibility to ensure the community's precious tax revenue provides the greatest benefit to the community.
Community involvement in decision-making
Transparency in a democracy is of paramount importance for elected officials to earn and retain the trust of all constituents. A lack of transparency will ultimately undermine the public's confidence in the function of its government.
