They release oxygen, which reduces respiratory problems and enhances our well-being. Additionally, trees contribute to cooling our surroundings. Environment / Energy Addressing air pollutants that compromise our air quality—potentially affecting our health—is essential. Clean air and water contribute to preventing healthcare systems from becoming overwhelmed by patients with respiratory issues. Education Engaging with North Carolina’s higher learning institutions, including two- and four-year colleges, universities, and HBCUs (Historically Black Colleges and Universities), is of paramount importance. These institutions play a pivotal role in shaping the future workforce and fostering intellectual growth. Economy Quality jobs, competitive wages, and a high standard of living are essential for families who want their children to attend our schools and reside in secure neighborhoods. By fostering growth in existing businesses and attracting new ones that prioritize safety, fair wages, and opportunities for advancement, we can achieve a resounding victory for North Carolina. Economy We must prioritize bringing natural foods into our homes, including fruits with seeds. Reducing the consumption of hybrid and GMO products is essential. Promoting natural foods in agriculture and farming offers significant advantages for both our health and the environment. I'm committed to supporting local farmers. Housing Every individual deserves the chance to reside in a comfortable home, a place that provides shelter from the elements and a sense of security. From short-term to permanent housing options, from affordable housing to rental assistance, and from housing for homeless senior citizens to veterans, there are solutions available to address this fundamental need.
