Abortion / Contraception Throughout my career, I have been grounded by my family and the perspectives I have gained as a mother to three children. I understand the need to protect pregnant folks' ability to make their own medical decisions and prevent the overreach of politicians making those decisions for us. Education I believe that paying teachers and school staff fair wages with strong benefits not only respects their profession but also creates a stable, supportive classroom environment where students can thrive. By investing in our educators, I will continue to work to ensure every school is staffed with experienced, dedicated professionals who help every student reach their full potential. Healthcare I will work to expand healthcare access and affordability, including advancing a statewide healthcare-for-all program to reduce costs for consumers and strengthen our ability to provide low-cost care and prescriptions. Education I believe that access to a fully funded and fully staffed public education system is the right of all students, regardless of income, background, or ZIP code. Every child deserves a chance to succeed and I will keep raising my voice in the Senate to make sure our public schools deliver that promise. Education I will also prioritize expanding access to affordable, high-quality childcare by increasing provider support, addressing workforce shortages, and ensuring families are not forced to choose between earning a paycheck and caring for their children. Criminal Justice / Public Safety I am committed to preventing mortgage lending fraud. Housing I believe homeownership is a key part of the American Dream, and that everyone in our state deserves access to safe, affordable housing. Civil Rights The effects of institutionalized racism are still felt across this state and I have worked tirelessly to create opportunities and improve the lives of all residents, regardless of skin color or income, so that we can all rise together. Infrastructure / Transportation I am committed to investing in reliable and affordable transportation options, including public transit and infrastructure improvements, so residents can more easily access jobs, education, and essential services without the burden of rising commuting costs.
