Taxes / Budget Oppose raising our City Property Taxes and reduce unnecessary spending to lower the City’s millage rate. Housing Support adding workforce and affordable housing. Our first responders, teachers, and city employees should be able to afford to live and work in our City, and our residents shouldn’t feel like they're being forced out of their own town. Environment / Energy Providing clean and safe drinking water for our businesses and homes by working closely with Palm Beach County and the South Florida Water Management District. Boynton Beach has a role to play as part of the county’s environmental resiliency and water supply planning. Social Services Expanding and redeveloping our senior center to accommodate more activities and programs. We’ll continue to utilize the Cultural Arts Center for senior programs while working to provide reliable transportation to and from these facilities. Together, we can enhance City programming to Help, Engage, Activate, Reinforce, Train, and Strengthen (HEARTS) our seniors, enriching their quality of life and fostering community connections. Environment / Energy Ensure our City has adequate and clean water supply now and in the future. Social Services Launch a City Youth Work Program in partnership with Parks and Recreation to provide meaningful opportunities for young people to gain skills, stay active, and engage with their community. These programs will help prepare our youth for the future while keeping them positively involved in local initiatives. Infrastructure / Transportation Redeveloping the Boynton Beach Mall should prioritize putting residents first, focusing on a community-centered design that avoids overburdening our roads. The Mall Property should incorporate a balanced mix of retail, office spaces, an entertainment destination, and a hotel to foster economic growth, along with work-force housing in perpetuity to support our first responders and their families. Criminal Justice / Public Safety Support our Seniors by ensuring City Police and Fire Departments have the latest tools (blood & plasma on trucks) and technology they need to help people and save lives. Infrastructure / Transportation Instead of approving thousands of apartments, offering little to benefit our families or foster long-term community growth, as Mayor, Court McQuire would propose a better vision that includes a balanced mix of destination entertainment, retail, cultural attractions, office space, hotel and homeownership opportunities to create a vibrant and family-friendly development. Taxes / Budget Cut Taxes and increase efficiency in how your tax dollars are spent. Taxes / Budget Establishing a tax break enterprise zone would incentivize growth by offering property tax reductions to businesses and small enterprises. This initiative fosters economic development, attracts investment, and creates jobs, ensuring long-term prosperity for Boynton Beach. Criminal Justice / Public Safety Ensure our Police and Fire Departments have the resources they need to provide world-class services. Taxes / Budget Establish a Budget Advisory Board to identify ways to trim wasteful spending by a goal of 10%. Economy Developments that will add jobs and boost our economy include building a vibrant and attractive downtown, adding a hotel, office, and more retail space especially downtown. Infrastructure / Transportation Bring responsible development to our city, especially building a vibrant downtown and the right plan for the Boynton Beach mall that puts residents first. Infrastructure / Transportation Support adding a new motocross or skate park in or adjacent to District 2.
