Education Oklahoma’s public schools and teachers have been left behind by our leaders. Cyndi will push to bring public school funding over the regional average and provide a much needed pay raise to our public school teachers and staff. She will end the current school voucher scheme that takes millions of dollars every year and sends them to exclusive private schools. Taxes / Budget Rising prices on everyday expenses have hit Oklahomans hard. That’s why Cyndi will work to provide tax relief to middle class and working families, not billionaires and special interests. Cyndi led the bipartisan effort to end the state tax on groceries, the largest tax cut for everyday Oklahomans in state history, and she will work with leaders on both sides of the aisle to find more relief. Healthcare Oklahomans are facing the rising cost of healthcare more than ever. Cyndi believes that we need to invest in solutions that lower the cost of prescription drugs, health insurance premiums, and other costs that keep Oklahomans from affording the care they deserve. Abortion / Contraception Oklahoma has one of the strictest abortion bans in the country, with no exceptions for rape or incest. Doctors are unable to treat women patients, birth control and contraception are at risk of being banned, and women are not able to find the healthcare they need. Cyndi will send the repeal of the abortion ban to a vote of the people so Oklahomans can get the care they deserve.
