Arts / Culture And, finally, when elected, as a long time Democrat and lifelong classic liberal, I will fight cancel culture. I will work to ensure that California's commitment to freedom of assembly, freedom of expression, and our First Amendment rights — the bedrock of civil society and our democracy — remains strong. Housing We need more housing. Especially San Francisco. And I'm here to help pave the way to ensure that more multi-generational housing at a variety of price points happens... throughout the city's neighborhoods. Education Our schools should be free from unscientific ideologies. Parents in our district must be informed when their children start to adopt new pronouns and self-identify as new gender identities. The fact is, most of these kids are gender nonconforming... and would simply grow up to be gay. Arts / Culture Trans-identifying males should not be in women’s spaces and sports. It's unsafe and it's unfair. Boys and men, no matter how they self-identify, can and should compete only in male sports. Criminal Justice / Public Safety We need more police. Crime is at an all time high in District 11... particularly retail theft.  And, while our officers are doing a great job with reduced numbers, they need more support... our support. Drug Policy I support "Treatment on Demand"/ "Treatment First" initiatives. These initiatives require those addicted to drugs be in treatment programs BEFORE receiving additional public support. THIS is the way forward... to help those living on the streets start new lives, to clean up open air drug markets, and to prevent public drug use.
