My Top Issues
Supporting policies that attract private investment and economic growth
Planning for growth means more than new construction—it’s about creating the conditions for families, young adults, and seniors to thrive without being priced out of their homes. I would leave property taxes alone, model transparency and encourage wise investments to support a balanced budget without drawing on yours.
Addressing substance abuse and mental health issues
Commitment to our top notch Police and Fire must include resources necessary to effectively address the persistence of substance abuse, theft, and mental health issues. Compassionate yet unwavering standards of public safety elevate us all.
Balance development with neighborhood preservation
Civic pride and involvement begins on your street. The needs of our neighborhoods should shape city policy and zoning decisions.
Taxes / Budget
While strategic investment is necessary, the burden shouldn’t fall solely on homeowners. Marysville City has not recently added to those increases, let’s keep it that way.
Criminal Justice / Public Safety
We must build on this momentum with expanded mental health crisis response teams, improved substance abuse interventions, and stronger neighborhood watch partnerships. Continued investment in first responders, modern equipment, and prevention programs will ensure every resident—especially our children—can grow up in safe, thriving neighborhoods.
Housing
E must foster a thriving industrial center that complements our neighborhoods, including those in the north end where I grew up, while also revitalizing our historic downtown. Growth should include green spaces, housing options, and mixed-use development that supports quality, locally owned businesses at street level.
