Fun Fact
I love to help people that are less unfortunate than I am due to growing up with nothing and parents surviving everyday to make ends meet. Since working at Social Service and going out into the community and being able to relate to where the people are coming from and being in a position to make a difference has been the most satisfying of my career and day.
Past Experience
I've worked for boys & girls club for 2+ years, work with parks and recreation for 3 years and group home for 2 years. I'm currently in my 6th year working at social services dealing with the community directly. I've also served on various boards; police civilian oversight board, measurements and solutions. I've also co-chair the cville dems party and vice chair.
My Top Issues
Invest in local public education
When we invest into our public school we can closing achievement gaps by providing equitable access to resources and support. Expanding opportunity for every child, regardless of background!
Fund youth mentorship and leadership programs
Create safer, stronger, and more engaged communities while also promoting and developing leadership skills that prepare youth for life beyond the classroom.
Collaborating with schools and community organizations
Strong schools are built on strong community that work together. Bridge gaps between what students need and what schools can provide while also continuing to expand access to enrichment programs.
