Economy As the cost of living explodes and wages stagnate, we are pricing out our working-class, retired, disabled, and other marginalized communities. While Beaverton is in a budget deficit, this should not be balanced on the backs of the very people we should support the most. Civil Rights Every human deserves the right to a reasonable standard of living regardless of race, gender, age, religion, ability, or immigration status. I will always fight for the interests of the working-class Beaverton residents. Immigration I will always stand against abuse by ICE and demand accountability when power is misused. Enforcement should never come at the cost of basic human rights or due process. Our community deserves justice, transparency, and respect. Infrastructure / Transportation I will propose and support policy that funds our city’s services from the astronomical profits of the corporations that benefit from our city’s infrastructure. Immigration I will fight for official and policy-backed protections and accountability measures to protect any person residing in Beaverton from ICE and Border Patrol. Taxes / Budget I will oppose the city entering into contracts with monopolistic private entities. Taxes / Budget I will oppose policy that seeks to balance the city’s budget on the backs of Beaverton’s marginalized and at-risk communities.
