Dr. David Weitzman is a North Myrtle Beach physician and community leader with broad experience in clinical care, research, and government service. He currently serves as Medical Director and Chief Medical Officer for Collaborative and Innovative Care, guiding direct primary care, urgent care, wound management, occupational health, and pharmaceutical research operations. Previously, he led Coastal Concierge Medicine & Aesthetics, PC, and as Chief Medical Officer at DDC Corp he built programs, managed clinical operations, and advanced medical education across multiple sites. His federal service includes roles with the Department of Defense (Wounded Warrior Program), the U.S. Coast Guard (Chief Appellate Medical Officer), and the U.S. Department of Justice (Supervisory Complex Medical Officer). In these roles he helped shape policy, ensured compliance with national standards, and coordinated care across agencies.
An educator at heart, he has served as Fellowship Director and CME instructor, mentoring providers and leaders while continuing active medical research as a Principal Investigator on Phase II–IV trials. Dr. Weitzman lives and works in North Myrtle Beach and is committed to transparent governance, prudent stewardship of public resources, and collaborative problem-solving. If elected, he will prioritize expanded access to health services for residents and visitors, strengthened public safety, and efficient, responsive city operations grounded in community trust.
