Fun Fact
I’m a licensed private pilot and a yoga teacher! When I’m not working in public health or teaching meditation, you might catch me flying small planes or guiding a community yoga class in the park. I believe that wellness, discipline, and adventure go hand in hand—and those values keep me grounded while also pushing me to reach new heights, literally and figuratively.
Past Experience
I’m running because I know firsthand how life changes when someone believes in you and invests in your potential. From student leader to yoga teacher to public health advocate, my journey has been shaped by serving others—especially those who are often overlooked. I’ve worked across healthcare, education, and local government, including my current role on the City of Dubuque Equity and Human Rights Commission. My background in aviation, public health, and wellness, combined with my commitment to youth development and equity, uniquely equips me to serve on the School Board. I’m ready to bring bold, compassionate leadership to ensure every student—regardless of their background—feels seen, heard, and supported.
My Top Issues
Invest in local public education
Every student deserves to feel like they belong in the classroom, not just academically but emotionally and culturally. I will fight to amplify student voices and ensure that our schools foster environments of inclusion, affirmation, and support.
School-Based Mental Health Programs
Our community deserves more than crisis hotlines and overburdened systems. I’m fighting for more licensed mental health professionals in schools and expanded addiction and recovery services that meet people where they are—with care, not punishment.
Mixed-income neighborhoods
Too many families in Dubuque are one rent hike away from crisis. I’ll fight for stronger renter protections, Section 8 reform, and housing policies that prioritize people—not profits.
