Housing There are tons of vacant & abandoned buildings all over the city that could house Charlottes homeless, from men, women, children, and families.. THIS is when city council should use its power to offer incentives to investors and property owners so to use those places as shelters - simply a cool place in the summer and a warm place in the winter. Housing While North Carolina has no Rent Control Laws. I will advocate with city leaders and state legislators to implement new laws that will cap rent and not allow landlords to charge whatever they want without repercussions as they have been allowed to do for decades. Taxes / Budget I will pledge to NOT raise Property Taxes.
